Villain! You should play Mordor! :-X

:-D

My brother does. One Mordor play per household is plenty. :-D

Well my Easterlings are nearing completion. Just some extra infantry left to do and I'm soon moving into painting my special chars/bannerbearers/cavalry.

I'm eager to try out the Khamul Battlehost.

Yeah, I'll probably do them in groups of about ten.

Yeah I 8 (or more?) boxes of Easterlings + some other stuff related to the Easterlings. Painting them by 20. All red, then all gold, then all black etc. And at the end removing imperfections, then varnishing and finally placing them on bases with flock.
I'm almost through them...

Batchpainting saves the day!
Though when i'm done I'm not painting anymore Easterlings for quite a while...

I can't see anything illegal about it - it's just a video review that gives an overview of the book.

Im trying to get my host of Erebor ready fro a tourney at my store!

I read through most of the book yesterday and this is my summary:

Good

Elves and Dwarves got ok formations but not as good as other hosts because they already good before. (In the opinion of a dwarf player they got boned)

Rohan and Gondor got some good which made them more of a powerhouse.

Forgotten Realms got some nice battlehosts. I may be taking the hobbit one.

Evil

Mordor is now insane! With their 12 mob formation for only around 300 points is insane! And even other formations are good too.

Isenguard got some ok formations but the best is probably the siege formation. Now almost all your rares no longer count as rares.

Fallen Realms seem ok. I didn't really get a good look at their hosts but they seem like they got some good ones and some bad ones.

Angmar is now a GOOD army. Buradur's ambushing trolls, wargs, and goblins are insane!!!! And the spirt host is also really good! You can now put captains and heros in some of the ghost legions! Angmar seems pretty good now.

Later I am going to put up my dwarf list

None of the battlehosts for Isenguard really tempt me. By the time I've paid point-wise all of the requirements for the battlehosts it's become too expensive for any of the advantages IMHO to offset the costs.

Is this all the units that are going to be released in May?
(Faramir, Duinhir and command, Dwimmerlaik, Mauhur and command).

P.S. Mauhur sucks, Isengard are beefed up enough and they have enough leader variations (Saruman, Lurtz, Grishnak, Ugluk, Varsu, Sharku & Thrydan Wolfsbane - who is cool).

I know the dwarf and elf factions won't be beefed up as they're waitin for the Hobbit film but another Isengard hero.......ffs

Anything that gives a model to the WotR rules is good in my book.

I am pretty sure the elves are complete, or very close to it. Dwarves only need a champion and the loremaster to complete it. Angmar needs werwolves. etc. etc.

I dont really care who gets what as long as those units get filled before too long.

And a new rulebook for SBG ;)

I'd like to see the stone giant though, but I guess that's with the hobbit release.

yes, I'd love to see a new SBG book, but probably that's not going to happen, since the books will (aparently) be mail order soon..
