Strange, I haven't read this one before. There's normally a notice on GW's homepage whenever a new article is updated. |

This proves that epic strike works on Heroic duels. |

There was a notice on the What's New Today blog yesterday (which included a few LOTR models): http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/blogPost.jsp?aId=10100022a |

Good read so far, though i have only gotten thru the first few "chapters". Duncan mentions an "Army Workshop" where his Rohan force was detailed already. Anyone have a pointer to that? |

Thanks! Loved it, as my two main armies in WotR are Rohan and Isengard. It's always fun to combine WotR and SBG. |

One thing I liked most about that is that GW actually gave some "air time" to SBG rules and did a good job showing how fun it can still be. I really liked that they played the same basic force across both games and reported equally on each as that shows new players that SBG may in fact be a viable option for them as well and has its own merits. I think Rohan might have done a bit better in the first game but I believe both sides played great in the second based on the write up. Sounds like it was a nail biter at times. |

One thing where I keep thinking about is this; Quote: Looking at the places where my army faltered, I'm planning to cover the weaknesses. I think I need some more Uruk-hai with shields, so I'll be adding a formation or two to the army. Combined with the War of the Ring releases looming on the horizon, my army will soon be mightier than ever. Watch this space.
Is he mentioning the new uruk release from may, or is he mentioning another new WotR release, in a further future? (uruk with shields, which we allready have, but new miniatures?) |

Possible, but I doubt it. The way I read it is that he'll be adding a couple of formations of Uruk-hai with shields as well as some of the new releases out on the 8th (most likely Mauhur and his command). |

I think they forgot to put up Thursday's What's New Today until Friday, which was where this article was mentioned. I enjoyed these battle reports. Nice idea for a skirmish before a big battle. |

Great article! I really hope that they post more of these. But this one took absolutely forever.... I wish that I had access to White Dwarf 'round here. |

Wow! The heroes make a difference. Sad to see the Isengard heroes go down so easily though. |
