The very first Birch Ent is now on Ebay for anyone interested. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330525934748&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT This was the original model I sculpted back in 2007 (as featured in the sculpting article: http://www.one-ring.co.uk/kb.php?a=122 ) before I was persuaded to resculpt a similar one to start up Majestic Bear Miniatures by the online community. |

Hey UKFB just out of curiosity how do you go about deciding on what you want to sculpt? Like when you made the stone giants, it was just for the hell of it in the moment? Do you do requests? |

Pretty much. The Mountain Giant came about as a competition entry for the old TLA site under the theme of misty mountains. If I get enough requests for something then I do it (or at least I used to.). Ents, Giants and Beorn were all requested repeatedly so I came up with models that could proxy for them. |

Ah alright, I would request Melkor/Morgoth but something tells me that not too many people make that sort of request let alone know who the hell he is. |

Wow! I don't know that I could part with something that I had sculpted from scratch! |

I still have the second one that I sculpted based on the original for the purpose of chopping up for the moulding process. I'll soon enough have other Ent species so I don't really need 4 Birches hanging about. |

samoht wrote: 26 Pounds? Oh come on, its worth way more than that! To have risen from it's starting price to £26 in it's first day is good. Most eBay listings only start to attract a bidding war in their last day, this one still has 4 days and already has, so will hopefully go up even more yet. |

Heck, if it stays at that price I'll be happy! |

If it stays? How could it come down from what the highest bid already is? -- Pasi |

I meant if it doesn't go any higher. |

Ah, I see. I thought there's something in these eBay auctions I don't know about (well, there probably is something...). -- Pasi |

Way to go freddy, it's great to see such a great piece garnering some bids. I'm guessing it'll hit 250 quid yet in the last minute sniping / bidding wars. Good luck! |

Freddy if you're not already in the sculpting biz, you should consider it now after this. |
