Are there plans to release any "dwarves on ponies" models? Thorin and his band have ponies listed as options, but there are no accompanying models that I'm aware of. Odd since the dwarves have been riding ponies since the first (Hobbit) movie, but they still haven't been released. Maybe they were originally planned but cancelled? Or are we supposed to make conversions if we want them? |

I've never head of any plans to make a mounted Thorin's Company, cancelled or otherwise. It is not unheard of for models with mount options to never get a representing model released. Gil Galad, Forlong, Radagast, and more besides are still without horses and have been for years out of mind. Conversion, done by you or contracted to someone else, is probably going to be the only option to get mounted dwarves on ponies. |

just to give some hope, i've just read a quick Q&A in last months white dwarf (at the back) with adam troke & it does say that GW & FW have plans to release a model for every entry in the book / movies. It also gives potential to some things that have not been seen in the films & mentions they intend to revisit the LOTR range in the future. That's not to say a mounted company is high on their list of releases, but there may be a good chance they will appear sooner rather than later. Also I noticed some miniatures in the UJ rulebook of Thorin's company that are in different poses to the plastic goblin town boxed set - maybe we will see a revamp & these unreleased models see production in amongst all this? |

I'll echo what I have speculated in some of my videos. With the release schedule the way it has been so far this year I suspect that the entirety of TABA will be covered before the end of the year. Jay have nothing to do except writing for a rulebook and other sourcebooks as well as updating the FAQ's. I expect a new SBG rulebook to be dropped around november along with a companion sourcebook covering scenarios and profiles for unexpected journey. That leaves the design team as a whole to expand upon the first hobbit movie. from a rules point of view it will be a smaller task than the 5 lotr sourcebooks and thus i expect it to precede those. This makes it possible to get: Thorins company on ponies Actually release the variant sculpts for the company already made Goblin town archers Dismounts for rivendell knights Hunter Orc Captain ft+mtd mounted narzug radagast on horse |

If they put out the entirety of Thorin's Company on ponies, that's a lot of mounted dwarves, so I would expect them to be pretty expensive. Regarding Rivendell dismounts, I use my High Elves interchangeably with Rivendell. No particular reason other than that it seems practical. |

I am fairly certain there is an unreleased set of mounted Thorin's company from AUJ release days. |

I am very certain there is not. There might have been some studio mock ups but I have neither seen nor heard of any miniatures in production for this before forge world took over. |

As of the Q&A at Ardacon, it looks like they're probaby not going to happen. |

Personally i'm looking forward the LOTR releases next year more than Hobbit releases (i still love the Hobbit minis but LOTR are extra special IMO) |

I'm not sure if the are still selling them, but a certain moderator duo on here used to have pony conversion kit. Really nice sculpt that lets you easily put the plastic spree company on ponies. Needless to say I bought 13. |
