Excellent miniature and a great read!
I like how you start bright on a color (like the red skirt) and then darken...I aways start dark and work toward a lighter color...I think I will try this method out with my next model. :D
Great job Bart!

It was to be expected after the NMM Isildur - Elendil , and a another great article !

I agree with Dave , nice how you go from Light to dark , I always do it the other way round.

A beautifully painted mini with a sensible, well illustrated article. There is something 'soft', not like pastels but kind of misty about these NMM's. Attractive in many ways, but I really love good metallics.

a really helpful article. very well done with so many large detailed pictures and good explanations that painting Isildur from now on should be much easier.
(e.g. for me who still has him only based ....)

The outcome of this miniature was simply superb !!! The article is extremely well written ( and I only had to change a few words and add a few letters that you had missed out ) and well laid out !!!

I feel like giving you a coin for actually finishing something, but you know me...I'm not that generous !!!

Very well written article. The layout was well done and your techniques are clearly described. I'm not a fan of NMM, but I do appreciate being able to read about the techniques and the result was excellent.

This is an excellent addition to the library. Cheers.

Superb! That's the only way to describe it.

I can hear Merry and Pippin dancing on the table now....

"Some write lots of guides,
and some write somewhat fewer,
But quality that you can't disguise...
comes from the Buckland Brewer!"

Sorry if that's cheesy. I must be in a really good mood, which is really odd for me. I'm not normally jovial. I'm more of a miserable pessimist most of the time. Such is the power of your work, Bart! :)
