I'm quite disgusted to find that within seconds of this article being uploaded, someone had voted for it dropping its rating down to 7/10 !
It was physically impossible for anyone to thoroughly read the article and make their mind up on its worth !

From my point of view, the negatives are that the Knee's look like they are in completley the wrong position and the feet are too small, however...

I can not sculpt to save my life and everything you do just gets better and better !!!
Sculpting is a gift ... and you certainly have a gift !

To the person who voted so quickly...SHAME ON YOU !!!

Personally I think this article is pretty damn good, I can't sculpt to save my life and I have seen you progress as a sculptor for a good while now and I have even had the pleasure of painting some of your earlier sculpts. I admire anyone that can turn green stuff and other sculpting compounds into anything other than a blob which is about all I can manage.
I will most definately be giving your tutorial a go thanks for sharing with us what is for me and quite possibly many others a black art.

Mminiatures, I remember seeing one of your first works, Vlad the Impaler, and thought you did a nice job on him, but each and every model since then has gotten better and better. A budding Ebob in the making!

ohhh, I think this article is great!

I just love it how much thoughts and ideas arise when only seeing a simply slight bent paper clip. (different figures, poses, clothes, styles, centuries, history, legends, realms, a small world already surrounding this otherwise meant-for-the-bin piece.
I think you describe those ideas greatly especially in the paragraph 'Posing the armature'!

it's pretty amazing so see that with a piece of wire and a lump of green stuff that wonderful little mini gets created.
all is very well described and shown!

(if I only dared to start a sculpt myself. I need one swordcase to be sculpted (threw away the other two months ago when I forgot that it dried painted on an old newspaper... and am still hesitating... Not to think of a whole figure!

But I am looking forward to more of yours!

btw: I know it's hard to tell, similar about painting time, but how long do you estimate has it taken you to do this mini?

wow that is amazing. I have tried to sculpt a figure and it could pass as a 6-year old's deformed featureless (except a mouth and eye sockets) Ghost. With crudely shaped feet and hair that has melted into the body. I think I need some decent sculpting tools (made it with hands )
