Wow! That's really all I can say. I couldn't sculpt myself out of a wet paper bag and this makes me want to go mix up a batch of green stuff immediately. Thanks for the wonderful article! Jon |

Top class, especially considering how few sculpting articles we have. And you say there are more ents on the way? The whole entmoot should be fantastic! |

That was awesome! That was one of my favorite Ents from the film as well. As I'm working on the start of my Woodland Realm forces I had hoped to get some Ents for extra muscle in high-point armies. Then I saw the GW Ent and all hope was dashed. You have given me that hope back again. But 9 inches of GS?!?! I'm almost afraid to do the math on that but I imagine it probably comes in around the same cost as getting one of the larger metal models ( Trolls, etc. ). |

This must be the most pleasant article I went through as a proofreader. I spent days looking for little things that could have some improvement, and found none. Superb article, good descriptions, excellent result and clear pictures. It makes me think of making my own... (Phoeha, never used Greenstuff! ) |

10/10 from me too. I agree-the GW ent has absolutely no character whereas this chap oozes a melancholic persona. Good to know we have an excellent point of reference for future creations. |

Absolutelly amazing work Freddy! You've really captured the look of the ent as we see in the movie. Awesome! Now we can all see exactly how you did it, and make our own ents... I feel like trying right now! Cheers mate! Great article! |

Many thanks for your high ratings! I am glad to be providing some inspiration for you folks. Sculpting ents is a lot easier than you might think because the putty doesn't have to be so neat. If it is a bit lumpy here and there, so what? It just adds to the tree effect. Beowulf03809: I buy my greenstuff (kneadatite) from a guy on ebay. It is £7.95 plus £3 postage for a whopping 36 inches. So if you do the math I only really spent about £2.75 to make this model. A lot less than you probably thought! |

I made a bunch of Ents a while back and I was pleased with them. Your Ent is much more detailed and looks great! You may have inspired me to make some more. Nice work! |

This is a truly remarkable article. The sculpting and the painting portions are worthy of being outstanding articles on their own but, together, they elevate this article to the highest level. I was enthralled, marvelling at the sculpting, how much it looked like the film (uncanny, really), and the excellent painting and rounding off. A superb article, one that will always stand out in my mind. That IS the one from the films! You are not a sculptor, you are a magician! |
