I'm happy to report your site is back up. When it was down, my mind immediately went toward GW machinations, like perhaps they took you down for posting those painting cards. :)

No nothing that dramatic I'm afraid, just a misunderstanding about domain renewal :)

By they way I was at GW today and got handed painting cards for Elf Warrior, Uruk-hai Scout, Rohan Warrior and Moria Goblin. If there's someone out there that didn't or couldn't get these let me know and I could post them to you, as long as it wasn't to the otherside of the World :)

I imagine the textured paints are best used for weathering cloaks.

They're for bases.

Also, at my local GW, only beginners are 'allowed' to have the cards, they don't want to give them to people who already know what a model should look like painted amd how to do it.

Tabletop_heroes, do you consider Belgium the other side of the world? If not, I'd love to get those cards, I didn't manage to get my hands on them in time...

Can anyone post a picture of the textured paints on the bases? How to they compare with pigments? How do they compare with traditional painted gravel/sand?

A unbiased review from someone with first-hand experience of the paint range. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... yLGC4cK6lQ

Probably going to stick with the old range, or make the switch to vallejo to be honest!

Is not the reason they make their own paints rather than buying another company so that they can increase their profits without increasing the prices.

Probably, but so long as the price stays the same, I can't imagine anyone complaining.

As far as I cam tell there are 6 Lord of the Rings painting cards: Moria Goblin, Galadhrim, Wood Elf, Rohan Warrior, Uruk Scout and Minas Tirith Warrior.

I have managed to get hold of ten different painting cards for The Lord of the Rings and will post some scans of them on my website over the weekend. As they were given away free I can't see there being any harm. Here's the one for the Warrior of Minas Tirith....

Are these cards still available? :)
