I'm a big fan of wet pallets. My home made one has finally met its time. I can't find a white sponge and was looking to see if anyone has a name brand or specific wet palette that they would recommend...or should I just order a sponge and be patient.

Paper towel is a different tool. A wet pallet is a place to mix and store your paints for a project. It's a container with a lid with a saturated sponge on the bottom and then parchment paper on top of the sponge on which you mix your paints. The parchment wicks just enough water to keep everything fluid and useable. It's an essential tool in my opinion particular with my painting schedule where I often have to go days between sessions. I ended up just getting some painters towels and forming them to my case. They need to be white so they don't interfere with the way the colors read on the pallet.

I know what a wet palette is, I use one myself! :)
What I ment is that I use paper towel instead of a sponge ;)

The Privateer Press set does the job well, obviously a little overpriced as these things tend to be, but I'm happy with it.

If it gets too dirty, I too use kitchen towel with the paper on top, that works at a pinch.

Masterson sell white wet palette paper. I've not used it but from photos it looks opaque.
