So how many of you blokes from GBHL are going down to DC in September 2025 to burn down the White House again? |

^GLAD YOU ASKED, because I'm not dreaming this, please click HERE!!! Talk about pre-purchasing. Imagine flying out to DC only to find out there's no event taking place this September, bwahahahaha. Anyway I'm considering going down there, because I have the time available, and I'm not sure if I'll ever have the chance again. Just not sure if I want to spend the cash. I guess there's no one apart of One-Ring heading over there, except maybe LordoftheBrownRing I think. |

I will be there for the gt. My family will be going as well so any time outside of gaming will pretty much be with them. |

Good to know One-Ring will be properly represented through your hands, at least the American side. |

In my case, I don't know whether I am an optimal representative of One-Ring's American community. Go team Britain, haha! |

America will be fully represented @ NOVA 2015! LOTBR and myself are from the Chicago area and are going to be there all week. Looking forward to meeting fellow Wanders in the Wild and GBHL and DCHL as well. |

I'll be there too. Mostly for the themed battles in truth but I'll give the GT a go most like. |

Well, The GBHL travelers managed to take 1-2-3, with first place earning 49 out of a possible 50 pts. Myself, I earned 31 points which I think has me tied for 10th or something. Won 2, tied 2, lost 1. Played the same person/army 1st and last game, which was also the same scenario. First match I faced a fiefdom army and made the mistake of not keeping my banner far enough away from his hero, Both broken but he had a banner left, lost 5-3. The way of calculating points instead of models to win objectives is a double edged sword. Second match my opponent in domination had a much lower model count dwarf army, but a couple of point heavy heroes. He put both on one objective so I could not claim it, but moving Eowyn and Grimbold earned me an objective by points as well. I claimed 4 out of 5. Won 9-3 Third round I played a monster army in reconnoiter, two eagles, two ents, treebeard, ghan and some woses. I could not keep the eagles from leaving, nor could my opponent keep me from getting 10 models off the table. I managed to kill most of the woses, and an ent, but my opponent still managed to get the other ent, treebeard and a wose off the table before reaching 25%. Won 10-5 Fourth round I played a goblin army, once again counting by points for the objective, the game ended up in a tie even though my opponent clearly had more models on the hill. Unfortunately his troll could not win a fight and I killed it in a couple of turns. This was the only evil army I played. Tied 5-5 Fifth round was the same fiefdoms army and the same scenario. We both protected our banners, although he almost got to mine, I could not put a wound on Imrahil and we both broke by the end. A tie 4-4. Had a good time, saw some great armies and played some great games. |

Wow the British invasion really took hold! They came, they sought, and they conquered! Bet they could have even burned the White House down if they wanted to. Meh, perhaps they have more gaming experience than everyone else there, they don't have to search very far to find themselves a game. |

Don't they have a tourney every month over there? |

Pretty much every two weeks now. The GBHL has really exploded over the last year or so. Don't forget the GBHL team also used highly competitive armies designed to smash face and win games. |

My brother was just one point behind the third place (he had 36 and James had 37) with a Durin's Folk army, plus it was his first time playing against anything other than Moria. |

I don't get to play too many different people or all that often. |
