Your story line is terrific...
I like the way you describe the actions ...
I find it a little odd that all your dwarfs end up unconscious all the time.. but goblins get killed out right... surely your book keeping could see some revived goblins likely to seek revenge?

The wraiths all seem to dissolve into ashes... and I thought wraiths couldn't die?
Shame you couldn't get ponies as part of your influence from the stone halls. Assuming there is yet tresure to be hauled away in small chests strapped to the ponies.

If you have many companies you could run it through a system like this ..

Love it .. keep it up.

I need a way to be able to revive the Dwarves, and killing them mid-battle would make it seem strange if they came back, but as I'm only doing one battle company (the Dwarves) its easier to keep track of then if I had two enemy battle companies (I've done it before)

It wasn't wraiths that died, it was the spectres

I don't have any pony models :(

I hope this isn't thread-necromancing, but why have you stopped with your BC, as it was awesome to read about these battles.

I had exams in May/June, which is why there aren't any from then, and I think I stopped in April because I was going to buy some Ruins of Osgiliath but kept forgetting (and I still need to). And now I need to find my roster sheets, but if I can't find them I may restart with a different battle company.

That would be interesting, you'd have to make some low level spells for it of course, maybe replace the shooting table with magic table. I might go for Gondor or Easterlings next time round, although if anyone has any requests I'm open to suggestions :)

Hmmm, maybe they'll start with spells like everyone withing 12 inches gets a strength 2 hit, then thunder or fireball, and things like that. I'd say, for theming, that you'd use rangers, as battle companies aren't something for warriors etc. IMO, more for scouting bands, or guardmen.

Your games look really fun! Might do something like this once I buy more warriors. I'm really loving the dwarves. 8)

Probably might eventually try this also with dwarves or maybe wood elves.
Keep it up!

Do you still play solo? I'm dying for some LoTR player in my area to agree to start playing Battle Company!! Its such a breeze to play and quick. Meaning we can then bash out a SBG game afterwards.

I do still play solo, although I had a normal game about a month ago - the thing I like best about Battle Companies is it takes about 10 minutes to play each game, and 2 or 3 minutes to record injuries and influence. Although I've been painting a lot recently instead of gaming, some of my Goblins have been repainted, and I'm currently repainting the Tainted (I'm trying out a new technique) and basing Durburz.
If you have regular partner, ask them to play a battle company game before your normal game - it will take nearly no time at all. :D

I'm going to try and pick up the Ruins of Osgiliath tomorrow, and also will try and get a game in later today.
