Good morning, just wanted to post a link to my latest battle report. Isengard vs Gondor & Mirkwood, the scenario was reconnoitre. WYSIWYG took a serious beating from all the mounted Citadel Guard my opponent wanted to use, but it was still a good game, even given the eventual result. It was fun to finally get to see some of the models in action, especially the Assault Ballista and the Avenger. Anyway, hope you enjoy :)

That good army was waaaay over bow limit - if the citadel guard on horse had bows. I also spotted eowyn, eomer and a couple of dol amroth knights. Guess these were the proxies. Good report though.

Really cool report, I liked that you had both an avenger and a ballista in the battle.

Only the elves had bows, which admittedly is still over the limit as they didn't conform to their own 33% bow limit, but I wasn't too concerned about it. We stay close to the rules, but try not to get to hung up on them. I don't think we've had a game yet where at least one rule or ability was forgotten about ;)

I don't think any game in which the Elves have over 33% bows can be considered a fair game, but nice one 8)

Hehe, that's quite possible :) In this case at least, I think I added to their effectiveness by not engaging them sooner (meaning before the game was effectively over). If I had used Saruman's warband, or perhaps one of the others to make a direct attack against them immediately, I might have been able to shut them down, as well as the Avenger. Ah well, hindsite is 20/20 they say.
