I usually do.

Alot of the players seem to be using Gondor and/or Mordor armies. I would get bored playing against Gondor time after time. Against Mordor I'd get the satisfaction of beating them plus they have much more variety as a force. Do you also introduce SBG to new players? It is much easier to muster an army for it.

Well, actually SBG is not easier. You have to move dozens of figures, while in WOTR, you just play with 4-5 formations.

The truth is, we have about 14-16 players, but for the tournaments nowadays only come 6-7. Why? I don't know. They work, they study, they have to go for a trip with family, or they just hangover.

I'm the only Mordor player, there isn't more. (Maybe my army is the best, this is the reason why I take so many picture )
We have now 3 gondor players, and they always come to play, while the dwarf players didn't come years ago.
Rohan, elves, moria, sometimes isengard also come always.

I have a dream, that one day there will be about 12-14 players on a WOTR tournament from every fraction.

We always advertise our hobby on events, and sometimes we find possible players. Now 2-3 guys started to collect their armies.

I think he was referring to building a force. Where WoTR should be at least 1000 points (and 50+ models), the SBG can be done with as few as a dozen models per side.

So, this Saturday there was an event called Mondocon. It was mainly a manga-style festival, but we went there to advertise the wargame, the WOTR.

Everyone liked our game, we made a lot of flyers, and gave it to the visitors. I hope, at least one person will come and try the game.

Our team also played Battletech.
Lantos, our great gondor player was a real Minas Tirith warrior this time.

Nice Gondorian uniform. Where did he buy it from? Is there any chance you can post some close ups of that Mordor army from the picture? From afar it looks neat! And the palisades look so good, they remind me of the BGiME constructions.

My friend's armor is a real medieval armor. It is very heavy. His other hobby to play real wars with others.

Hi there, we had a great WOTR day yesterday.

8 players: Mordod, Haradim, Gondor 3x, Rohan, Elf, Isengard

We had two battles during the day, it was fun.
I was specially happy for the new players.

I like the bones on that dunlending chieftain's base! Its nice to see that people still use dunlendings!

There is some nice diversity here, although I'd be so bored played against so many Gondor players. How did Rohan and the Elves go? Is it possible to post some battle reports from the tournament?

Yes, it is , but it takes some time to write reports.

Indeed, now we had several Gondor player. We also have a lot of different kind of player, but they were busy, maybe next time. If you check our previous tournament's pics, you can see, there are dwarves, goblins also.

As I promised, here are the quick battle reports:

First turn:

Feri Vs Marci | Elf vs Isengard
The elves won, cause the elvish bows were very effective. The galadrim knights too.

Lantos vs Balázs | Gondor vs Harad
SG helped Balázs with adiveces (Balázs is new), so he won. Gondor was in bad luck, and the poisoned weapons were great also.

Beni vs Bastion | Gondor vs Mordor
I won, although when we started the game, I was very worried about the good heroes. But luckily my Nazugls, Tainted and Dwimmerlaik destroyed the enemy heroes might points.

Second turn

Lantos vs Klónharcos | Gondor vs Gondor-elf
Well, Klónharcos is very young (11), so he was a bad player, it was easy to destroy his army. (I don't think WOTR is a child game ...)

SG vs Feri | Rohan vs Elves
It was a long battle. The elvish bows didn't worked as well as before against the fast rohirim cavalry. Rohan won.

Marci vs Beni | Isengard vs Gondor
It was an fair battle, Isengard won. The game's best part was Lurtz and Faramir heroic fight, Lurtz won that.

Bastion vs Balázs | Mordor vs Harad
It wasn't a fair battle, cause Balázs is a beginner. My black guards destroyed the haradims easily, cause their defense are low.

Bonus round with Marci and Klónharcos.
It was the same, like before, Klónharcos couldn't control his army very well, Isengard won here.

Lol, yes i believe you are right WoTR is more tactical than SBG.

I think an 11 years old boy should play with GIjoes, not with miniatures.
