Not a real battle report, just amusing: Glorfindel, on a horse, needs to help poor besieged Eomer. He tries to jump a wall, rolls a 1. Rolls again as per rules...rolls a 1. Luckily did not get wounded with the strength 3 hit, but falls on his butt in the mud beside his horse. He's now effectively useless for the next turn and a half. Probably too much miruvor... "Mud! Mud on my nithe (hic!) white cloak! Iiii'm tellin' ya, this suuucks. You bath-tards, you make me fall. (hic!) 's okay tho, I got 'nuther one...got more 'n I c'n count. They keep makin' 'em for me...dunno why. Never liked white. Someday, I swear, I swear someday I'm gonna wear black...just a liddle, 'round my middle...heehee...(hic!)" Meanwhile, poor Eomer, after losing his guards, finds himself facing a Cave Troll, bats and several goblins with spear backup. Rolls a 6, and the highest Evil roll is a 3. Smacks the Troll a good one, living long enough to see Faramir on horse w/ lance clear a nice path to come to his aid... Who needs Glorfindel? Of course, maybe you had to be there... |

Wouldn't be so certain about it, Glorfindel's a killing machine he doesn't go down easily Mine has joined in the game a couple of time and he has never died yet neither will he soon, my opponent hates him more then Aragorn, Halbarad and even Boromir his RW spells just don't work anymore |

Let me just play against him I must admit He is one of the best Evil minis cause he is hard to stop even by magic (almostly all the herose can be brought down with it) But still ´it really depends on the scenery |

all i do is cast compel using maybe 4 will and then it should be on a 6, when he fails to resist or runs out of will i get him to drop his elven blade, charge him on a horse/fell beastie. He's fight 4 with 1 attack i knock him to the ground and deal several wounds usually (rending on a fell beastie). If he survives I call a heroic move charge him on the ground and get as many friends on him as i can. Call a heroic strike and kill, he gets a minus one because he is unarmed, so as long as I roll a 6 I win. |

Dude this is hilarious. I think most of my armies have had a middle earth party recently.... One game Beorn, BOFA Legolas, Thorin and Dwalin all loved 1-3 for the duration. |
