Recently i had my friend over for a few games of lord of the rings. we ended up playing a 6ft by 10ft, 10,000 point game. it took well past twenty turns and we still quit early. 14 hours of fun. |

ouch that's a big game.. I quite enjoy my small battles with SBG, I take you were playing WOTR? Moving each figure along would be a nightmare lol. Small scenarios are the funnest in my opinion. No problem going massive tho |

No, we actually decided to go with sbg, but we moved in more of a real time. also, we had alot oh expensive heroes on all sides which helped with troop control |

Nice, I haven't been above 4,000 per side at SBG. That sounds like fun. I didn't answer the poll, since I like all thee types of game, in their place. |

My biggest Battle was a 2,000 point battle buts because my friends armies aren't that big. I usually play small battles but every now and then we make our battles massive. |

I myself prefer 500pt-2000pt battles because after a while a battle gets boring |

i like bigger battles. you get more variety in troop types and heroes. i think it also takes a little more strategy to direct those soldiers and keep them from getting in the way. my buddy and used to run 2,000 SBG with no model limit. we rarely finished a game but it was fun. most of our tournies here are 2,000 point games. |

I have a 5000 points per side game coming up this friday, the fourth in a series of games (first was 4K per side; next two were 6K). We fight on an 11 foot by 6 foot table with a fair bit of terrain, using a Domination-style scenario. The games have lasted up to 13 hours with five players at one time, but with various breaks for pizza or whatever. I can't saye I've ever been even remotely bored by it. In fact, both sides are always complaining that it's not big enough - more troops! I also often host large games for conventions and tournaments, including Minas Tirith and Mount Doom at Warhammer World, and Pelennor Fields at shows in the UK. I haven't pointed them up but they've been up to a thousand miniatures... |

well i prefer smaller sbg games my self for many reasons, most importantly i have a Devlan Mud load of unpainted models and two; more models = more $$$, but if i recall correctly it wasnt 50 orcs vs 30 men at the battle of minas tirith so if you got the time and money go for an epic battle |
