Forces:
Evil:
Main assault force:
Mordor Troll Chieftain
Mordor Troll
12 Morannon Orcs with Shields
12 Morannon Orcs with Shields and Spears
4 Mordor Uruk-Hai with Shields
Reinforcements:
Khamul on Armoured fell beast
3 Mordor Uruk-Hai with Shields

Good:
Main assault force:
Dwarf Captain with Shield
12 Dwarves with Shields
9 Dwarves with Dwarf Bows
5 Khazad Guard
Reinforcements:
Dwarf Captain with Shield
6 Dwarves with Shields
2 Dwarves with Dwarf Bows

The objectives are loosely based on the Battle of Pellenor Fields, the game lasts 12 turns.
Victory Points – (B) = both, (G) = good, (E) = evil:
1 for breaking the enemy, with a bonus point if you break them first (B).
1 for leader of main assault (E)/defence surviving (G).
1 for reinforcements leader surviving (B).
1 for both side gates being destroyed (E)/not being destroyed (G).
1 for main gate being destroyed (E)/not being destroyed (G).
1 for each enemy leader your leader kills (B).
1 for more men in the fields (B) (each wound counts as a model).
1 for more men on the ramparts (B) (each wound counts as a model).
1 for more men in the fortress grounds (B) (each wound counts as a model).

Turn 1 + 2:
The first two turns the Evil side receive Priority, and wait just outside of the Dwarves bow range for turn one, before moving as fast as possible during turn two. A Mordor Uruk is slain on top of the siege tower, as well as a Morannon Orc pushing it.

Turn 3:
Good claims priority, and ready their bows whilst the Evil force advances. Their arrows bounce harmlessly off the Morannon Orcs.

Turn 4:
The Evil side retakes Priority, almost reaching the walls, waiting for the hail of arrows. The second Mordor Uruk on the siege tower is slain.

Turn 5:
Good receives Priority, which is bad news for them, as the Siege Tower and ladders hit the walls. Their arrows bounce harmlessly off the Orcs assembled below. The tower attack fails, as the defenders repel the enemies.

Turn 6:
Evil takes priority, but the Dwarf Captain declares a Heroic move, and the Dwarves knock down two ladders, with an archer moving onto the siege tower to fight a Morannon Orc. The two ladders are then replaced with the Trolls moving to destroy the side gates, leaving the main gate in the hands of the Good force. The Dwarf archers able to shoot all miss. No casualties are taken.

Turn 7:
Again, the Evil force claims Priority, but the Captain calls a Heroic move again, using up his last Might Point. Two ladders fall, killing a Morannon Orc. Two Orcs start to climb up the Siege Tower. A Morannon Orc on the ground is slain by a Dwarf Arrow. A Mordor Uruk is slain as he climbs up a ladder. Two Morannon Orcs also fall, as one is killed by Dwarf archers, before falling on top of the second, sending him down the ladder and breaking his neck. Both side gates suffer a batter point.

Turn 8:
Good gets Priority again, but the Troll Chieftain calls a Heroic move, the Orcs around him climbing their ladders. One of the ladders on the Orcs right is knocked down, but has to be abandoned as there is only one Orc left to pick it up. The troll takes a wound from a Dwarf bow. The final Uruk-Hai is killed in combat, although the Dwarves in the centre protect their fortifications. Both side gates are smashed open by the Trolls, the 9 Dwarves inside led by the Khazad Guard stand their ground. The front gate remains undamaged.

Turn 9:
Good take priority, a loud and clear horn blown, to summon aid, but none arrives. A ladder is knocked down as the Dwarves inside the fortress block the gateways. Both Trolls are repelled by shielding Dwarves, although the Captain is pushed back by the Orcs on the siege tower again, having not won a combat yet.

Turn 10:
Evil has Priority, calling for reinforcements which arrive, in the form of Khamul and 3 Uruk-Hai with Shields. The Evil forces march into combat, but the horn that blew last turn sounds again, with a warband of Dwarves answering, following the Uruk-Hai and Nazgul. Khamul almost takes a wound from the Dwarf archers, but his wraith like form protects him. The Troll Chieftain declares a Heroic combat, but is batted away by the Dwarf, as is the other Troll. 4 Morannon Orcs die, one at the hands of the Dwarf Captain.

Turn 11:
Evil once again has Priority. Khamul flies into the Dwarf Captain that arrived with the reinforcements, transfixing him, buying time for the slower Uruk-Hai, who are chased by a pair of Dwarf archers. This ends badly for Khamul, as his fell beast is reduced to 1 wound, after rolling a 1, 1 and 2 to win the fight. The main gate is destroyed by the trio of Morannon Orcs attacking it. The Dwarf Captain loses his combat, but the Trolls each kill a Dwarf. 3 Morannon Orcs die in the Assault on the fortress, almost breaking the Evil force, but the Dwarves have only lost two warriors.

Turn 12:
Evil keeps Priority, the Captain and Khamul both call Heroic moves, but Khamul wins, flying away, before compelling the Dwarf away, reducing him to 6 Will. A second ladder is knocked down and abandoned by the Dwarves after Morannon Orcs spill through the gates (well, sort of). The fellbeast avoids the arrows aimed at it, despite the fact it’s injured. 2 Dwarves are beaten brutally by the Troll Chieftain, who can now go through unafraid.

Turn 13:
Evil claims Priority yet again. The Dwarf Captain calls a Heroic move, allowing two of his Dwarf comrades to attack Khamul, but two of the Uruks attack on the poor Dwarves, the third is shot down by the Dwarves. Two Dwarves are killed by the Trolls. Khamul also kills the Dwarf attacking him, while a Morannon Orc is killed in return.

Turn 14:
Good manage to take Priority, but Khamul uses his Might Point to call a Heroic Move, and, using a Will Point to pass his courage Test for being broken, flies towards the fort. Both ladders are knocked down and the Troll Chieftain is charged. 3 Morannon Orcs flee, but the Troll doesn’t and the brute smashes his way into the fort. 3 Dwarves fall, including the brave Khazad Guard, with the trapped Uruk and a Morannon Orc brutally hacked to pieces.

The final turn:
Khamul and the Troll Chieftain both pass their courage tests, and an Orc flees. Khamul flies inside, uses a black dart on the Captain in the fortress, who loses a wound and fails his fate roll, whilst the access ladders are blocked by Morannon Orcs. Khamul loses his fellbeast to the archers but remains unharmed.

Victory Points:
Good – 2 for breaking enemy first, 1 for not being broken, 1 for main defence leader that survived, 1 for reinforcements leader that survived, 1 for more men on the walls, 1 for more models in the field.
Evil – 1 for main assault leader survived, 1 for reinforcements leader that survived, 1 for more models on the fortress grounds, 1 for destroying both side gates, 1 for destroying the main gate.

The good side wins with 7 victory points to evil’s 5.

Review:
Dwarves in a fortress are nasty. They didn't lose any models until turn 11, even though I thought they would. The evil side needed more soldiers, although sending Khamul after the transfixed Dwarf Captain wasn't necessarily the best idea (first time using him), I thought the Captain would die, but he didn't, although I thought Khamul would roll a five and would then use a Might Point if necessary. The ordinary Troll could probably have been replaced with 12 Morannon Orcs, to help with the siege, over half the evil side's points were spent on monsters.

P.S. I did edit the pictures on photobucket but the preview doesn't show them as edited.
