Mumak vs Trolls... I mean Harad vs. Moria and Angmar

Well, with newly painted trolls, how could I NOT put them into battle! Little did I know my brother had plans to stomp my goblins with his Mumak!

Oh, and for those of you in the know, with the rocks from the howdah, which shooting score do you use? The one attached to the Mumak or the individual model's? Should probably ask in the other section. We went for the benefit of the doubt in favour of the Haradrim warriors better shooting score.

A very exciting read, not as many twists as some of your others but perhaps more entertaining because of the many high class miniatures! I wonder how many heroic moves did the Mumak commander make or contest in the game (wasn't made clear). The trolls certainly performed well, preventing the Mumak from crushing the weak goblins and breaking the enemy force. Looking forward to your next encounter

The Mumak commander burned through his might right near the beginning to try and stop the trolls winning their first combat. My brother's highest roll was (from memory) a 4 and mine was a 5, so he used two might to get a six which I, of course, equalled by using a might myself. I'm glad that there aren't Mumak commanders with 10 might =)

There are lots of Mumak rules that we'll have to look into more closely, especially given that there are some differences in wording between the new rules, the old ones from the Harad sourcebook and the ORB. Mostly though we don't mind so much who wins the games, so it's no big deal, we just like the spectacle of it all =)

I completely agree, winning isn't everything, it's the experience that matters. And from what we get to glimpse through your photos and write ups they look to be great fun!

Wow! The trolls really managed to Bring It On Down as the goblin had to Slide Away. I hope none of those Haradrim are Married with Children otherwise someone will have to tell them to Stop Crying Their Hearts Out. The Mumakil must have felt the Shock of the Lightening when fighting Burder!

@sticky fingersss - I feel like you need a prize for being the first to mention the Oasis titles in the write up. no promises or guarantees, but is there a mission type or miniature or something you'd like to see? You know what minis we have by flipping through the batreps.
