First part of the battle is done. We just need to finish the action on both tables. Here are a couple of extra images of the action.

Gondor and Mordor get it on!

Hi

There were about 10 of us playing a different times of the day. The Witch-King of Angmar had to leave during the game, to take his mum out for lunch on Mothers Day!

We are hoping to finish the Gondor/Mordor battle this week and then the Rohan table next week. Here are a couple more pix in the meantime.

This is incredible!

Do you think it would be even possible to play a game this size using SBG rules? I know it would take days and days of solid play, but would it work?

There were actually 18 Mumakil on the table at the start (none have been killed yet, but several have stampeded) with another 3 still to arrive. Amazingly the whole collection belongs to one person...

I actually can't wait to play the next part of the game, as it was so fun to play.

Hi

We managed to finish the game on the Gondor v Mordor table. I wont tell you what the result was, as the battle will now continue on the Rohan table. But there were certainly some heroic charges and some very close shaves for some of the characters!

Here are a couple more pictures of the action. As you can see, there are a lot less units on the table at the end of the game compared to the initial setup. A very bloody battle, but a simply superb game to play!

I'll put some more pictures up, when we play the next installment.
