I am just getting back into gaming Lord of the Rings, so to re-familiarise myself with the rules I ran a small Battle Companies scenario for my two boys today. The elves approach from the west and the orcs from the east. This is the initial set up...



My youngest, who played the orcs managed to sneak back into the room whilst no-one was looking and surreptitiously move a couple of his orcs into the small copse...



The orcs are ahead after a little bow fire and the initial close to contact...





But the elves begin to pull things back...



Before finally dispatching the orc leader...
