After quite a bit of work, I finally got to play my first scenario in Scouring of the Shire. It is something I was dreaming of doing when I started MESBG a couple of years ago so I'm really happy to share this report with you. Maggot's Farm definitely had a great narrative feel even if the result was a bit lopsided.

Great report, Kuribo. The models and crop fields are impressive. If the result was a little lopsided, well, that's how the dice fell. No doubt next time the Ruffians will show those pesky dogs what's what!

The very first time I tried this scenario, using the old supplement, the Sentry rules worked out so that the Ruffians just walked off the board with the alarm never being raised. That was deflating. Fortunately, the other times I've tried it since then have been a little more competitive.

I enjoy reading the same scenario done by different One Ringers, really show the versatility of the game. Obviously priority plays a part in the game but isn't always relevant in the outcome.

Thank you both for your kind words and for giving it a read. Luck definitely influences this scenario much more heavily than strategy but because it tells a cool story, I can't complain. If anything, I'm excited to play more Scouring scenarios whenever I get the chance to buy the models I need.
