I have an unpainted old GW Radagast model which looks great but I also have the one from Goblin Town which I want to represent as Radagast since I like to recreate the films. Are there any ideas of what character the old model could possibly represent in the books or films?

I think it's a pretty stylish model. And his garb could be used in multiple armies.
Image

- So possibly, paint with golden trim and swirls on the cloth to represent a Haradrim Taskmaster.
- Convert him with a Easterling helmet and pikeblade on the staff, to make him a Warpriest.
- Little conversion work and he could be an awesome Spectre for an Angmarim force!
- Give his raven to a Dwarven hero or scout model, and make Radagast into a Gondorian Ranger Captain.
- A Gondorian King might work as wel, like the call Faramir, a wizards pupil.
- Give him a shave... well head-swap with an Elf head, and there you have it; Stormcaller!
- Or possibly a Sentinel with the additional equipment!

Will any of these suit your fancy?

Stormcaller is indeed a great idea, fits the natural elements on this model. Technically, you don't even have to 'shave' him (some Elves have beards), but it probably is more clearly a conversion if you change the head to something more typically Elvish.

I've used mine for one of the two blue wizards. The old Sharky model being the other

The storm caller idea is nice, bit of green stuff on the ears an it should work.

I converted my Sharkey miniature into a Rivendell Stormcaller by simply swapping the hooded head for one of the metal Elves from the trilogy, but I forget which one, it could have been Haldir? But anyway, my point is a conversion into a Stormcaller would look great, and isn't too time-consuming or difficult.

Thanks for all the ideas! I was actually thinking that he fits in best with Rohan troops. Maybe as a King's Hunter? A wise old adviser who scouts ahead?

How about a mysterious advistor to a Dale-land or Rohan king, a wizardly figure with just a hint of blue to his robes. Cover multiple options that way: Blue Wizard, "Rohan wizard" or whatnot.

Thanks for the ideas! I have decided that his profile will be Malbeth the Seer's but I will store him with my Rohan army since I don't have an Arnor army.
