I'm not involved in any way with this auction but stumbled on it while browsing. A very impressive paint scheme and modelling project, especially with the Athelas flowers.

Lots of pics at: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Huge-Expertly ... 3934214%26

Yeah, that was featured way back when GW was still promoting WOTR in White Dwarf. I totally have that issue at home. I remember thinking how cool this whole thing was. But confused why you would put spear-men in the Howda!

Great looking army, I think that with the man hours put in to create it that its worth every penny. Its also whats known as to those of us in the Art Trade as a documentary piece (being literally documented in the literature) which adds to the interest. Its clearly has to be a staff or former staff member as I can't see anyone else paying retail for two dead Mumaks, which seems a real shame to me as a great deal of skill and effort has gone into converting them, which in my opinion would have been put to far use in converting two more living Mumaks to trample your enemy with. As scenery they are great, but a dead Mumak carcass will only feature post a Mumaks death if players agree on a house rule.

Lovely stuff, though would never use any stuff that has been painted by someone else. Blasphamy!

When a mumak dies, the area where it dies becomes difficult terrain. So those dead mumaks would come in handy. It is a lovely force, love the purple and red. Only thing I dont get is why he converted abrakhan guard to have spears

In comparison with the rest of the army, I'd say the nazgul on horseback is of a pretty low standard. I wonder why they picked that model for a close up.

Pretty cool find!
