The inclusion of scenarios, the lack of the "hobby" section and leaving out point values of the Hobbit models. Other then that I'm not completely sure.

I don't know what's in the EFGT mini-rulebook, but the large has all the released Hobbit unit profiles (save for the Men of Dale I believe), points values etc. Scenarios, hobby section, Army lists (so that you know what heroes can lead what troops), obviously a very detailed rules section. Basically all thebells and whistles you could want

Hardback Rulebook has everything, including stats for all the new Hobbit models minus those from Dale. EFGT has the rules to play, but no stats. The models from EFGT have their full stats available on the GW website, but if you want the official rules for the Trolls, Grimhammers, Azog or any other new model, you'll need the book

The EFGT profiles have been released in full by GW btw.
