A movie is being made as a prequel to the LOTR.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/celebritynews/3268653/Orcs-are-back-in-Lord-of-the-Rings-inspired-Born-of-Hope.html
And not sure if people knew but there is another movie which is much further in production which follows Aragorn and his hunt for Gollum in the wilderness.

There are pretty good pictures and nice trailers.

Wow, almost a month later and I have totally missed this thread !

Thanx for the last link WanderingDunedain, I have just watched some of the trailers...

At first, it is obvious that there is not the financial backing into this film that there was in TLOTR, and 'extremely clean' costumes stand out & Orc Make-Up, but I have to say...it looks intriguing and mostly a very welcome addition.
No matter how bad the filmography (if it does end up bad, I really did like parts of what I have seen so far), or the Make-Up or Costumes (cleanliness wise), I think I will certainly like to see this in full !

Thanx NumenoreanLord for posting this...a coin to you both :)

NumenoreanLord & Wandering Dunedain,
Thanks for the Post & link!
I too stumbled onto this post late.
What a great idea and it looks pretty good... so far.
The trailer that deals with the production and speaks about the difficulty of making the costumes dirty was very interesting.
I hope it turns out well.
Hey Admins, I think these guys deserve a gold coin for their find :yay:

I found another trailer for The Hunt For Gollum.

It looks new to me. Looks good in its detail and their effort. I prefer THFG to BOH but thats just me.
There is also an On-Set video of Born of Hope as a link on that page if no one has seen that one.

I think they will be welcome additions. Anything Lotr to ease the pain of waiting for the official movie releases can only be a good thing. The trailers seem very atmospheric. Captured my interest for sure.

Hmmmm. I must say Hunt For Gollum appeals to me more strongly, but that may just be as It looks more professional.

However i will watch both.

While I was on YouTube I picked up this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DkNWF_75 ... re=related
Christopher Lee attempting to get up the steps made me laugh :-D
