I have some duplicate metal trolls, short of major chop and change, would the arms and heads of the plastic troll set readily match up with the metal troll chief ?

I gave my metal troll some plastic parts, like an arm and his head, and they fit perfectly, so yeah, the plastic parts will fit the troll Chieftain too, just remember that the chieftain has some different armour than the normal troll, so you might want to give him both arms if you want to use the plastic ones, ohterwise it might look a little silly.
PS: make sure to pin the troll if it's metal!!
