Hey everyone! first time topic poster here
I reckon its a real shame the Palace Guard box doesn't come with a banner and I am looking for a way of changing that. So i ask what would be the best way of going about creating/converting a mirkwood palace guard into a banner bearer? And how would I do it, i am pretty novice at converting and doing anything besides glueing/painting so am not sure of what to do? ANY ideas are welcome! Thanks for reading :)

Also on a side note am i the only one who thinks the Palace Guards are not worth the 15 points a piece? :legolas:

Sorry about the rubbish ipad photo (and unfinished minis), but it does the job.

Because they're plastic, it's fairly easy (so long as you have the right bits) to convert them by just making cuts around the wrist, and supplementing in the right parts. I added a Palace Guard speartip to the to of the banner to make it fit in better.

It does, however, hinge on you having spare parts. The banner is taken from the Fireforge Games knights templar set, and the Horn is from the Warlord Games Imperial Romans. If you dont have anything to spare, you could drill a hole in one of the hands and use a length of thin rod, with some paper for the banner. A few coats of PVA should stiffen the paper sufficiently.

Thanks, I like that idea! I don't have anything I can currently use as a banner besides cutting of a wood elves banner off, but I am sure I can find something in the near future to use. I like yours so maybe I will search Ebay.

Have you looked at the Rivendell Knights for a suitably Elvish banner? I haven't bought the Palace guard yet, but I think it could work.

Now that you mention it, the Knights of Rivendell or Galadhrim Knights Banner's would be an easy and good looking switch I think! I just need to buy one of the two i guess haha
