Hi, has anyone got any Ideas for converting plastic minis to mordor Uruk-hai?

Maybe from mordor orcs, isenguard?

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

Simply convert uruk scouts.

You just got to replace the recognizable Isengard sword/shield with orc like weaponry.

I got the idea from an individual over at LA:

I never did anything with plastics, but I made a lot of conversions with metal isengard uruks and mordor uruks that you can find at the bottom of this page; http://sithious.webs.com/theorcsofmiddleearth.htm
the following are scouts/isengards converted;

I personally would not recommend it as the Mordor Orcs won't look beefy enough and the Saruman's lot will take forever to be effective. Notably there is an orc captain in metal who really should have been sold as a Mordor Uruk Hai captain as he is tall standing upright, chunky. and equipped with weaponry an armour (most notably the helmet) only seen on Mordor Uruk Hai models and extras in the film! Please see below captain painted as Urk Captain:

I edited my post to contain the conversions of just the Isengard models.
I have 2 blisters of each of the Mordor Uruk-hai releases and so I also converted those to prevent duplicates.

Sithious those conversions look great. I particularly like the shaman and the one with axe and shield

Mordor orc archers are nice! You don't see many of them around.

I do want to make more archers. The first one was a Warg rider top half (I have two Uruk-hai scout captains on wargs, after Azog they don't look so far fetched now) with a quiver from a WHF Tomb kings skeletons army, the head was scratch made as was one of the arms. The second is obviously a modified scout, removed the shield arm and sculpted a new one, hacked off the sword blade and made it look like he was going for an arrow on his back.
I would like to see some more idea's. I will eventually make some more for my force, with the Hunter orcs on Fell wargs sets having bows and quivers I already have some bits to use.

There are some good conversions and ideas in this thread.

If you're not hung up on only GW models, Wargames Factory makes a fantastic Orc set that I plan on using for my Mordor Uruks, eventually. They are beefier than the GW Mordor Orcs, and fit in pretty well. Also, they are pretty affordable. You can check them out here.

Thanks for all the replies gives me a lot of Ideas.

Erunion those Orcs don't look beffey enough to look like Uruk-hai. Although the pack does look quite amazing. I am unsure whether they ship to New Zealand though.

The wargames factory orcs are the same height as mordor uruk hai. I have a few that I plan to armour up a bit to help them blend into the existing range.
