How could i change a standard Ranger of Middle Earth into a dunedain?

Sculpt a chain-mail hauberk over the tunic and around the arms.
Sculpt a Star brooch under the neck.

Not really what you're asking...but I've done a few simple ranger conversions that might inspire you...only metal ones though;

Do you already have standard rangers in your collection? If so, a new paint scheme is probably all you really need, that would be the bare minimum in my mind, if you're not confident in your modeling skills (and will be more visible than just a star brooch).

Head swaps, weapon swaps, and extra kit (especially satchels and bags), as well as a few cuts to make their clothes appear kind of tattered, are all things I would consider, too.

Notice that none of the Dunedain models have face covers, like the normal rangers. That might also be a starting point.
