Hey, so I was thinking about a base for the barrow white im sculpting and I was wondering if there is a good way to sculpt fog or mist. I don't wanna use the cotton method I would rather try to make it with putty, but am open to other options. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks. |

I'm not sure if sculpted-putty-fog would look that realistic. If you don't want to use cotton wool, perhaps try steel wool. You can mould it into shape fairly well though it is metallic so would need painting. Hope this helps. |

I used a synthetic fiber in last months contest. It did not turn out well, but it was what I had lying around. I suspect that cotton would look better. The good think about trying the cotton is that you can take it off if you do not like the way it looks. How much fog were you thinking of making? Will it just be a texture on the base? If you want to see sculpted 'fog' look at the screaming bell/plague furnace kit, which has vapors on the censor. I suspect a rubber tipped sculpting tool would be useful to sculpt fog, as you want smooth lines and transitions. |

Yeah, the fog will be on top of rocks, making it look like the barrow white is emerging from the fog. It will mostly be near the barrow whites lower body. |
