Ok, so I have started a High elf army (doesen't really go with my username but) and I have figuered that I will need to give a lot of my regular warriors shields instead of elven blades. I wonder if anyone has any ideas or experiance in this area. BTW, I have seen a shield making article so I can probably get shields without having to take them from the blister packs. |

I wanted some sheilds in my force also so I cut their arms off and used greenstuff to hide the gaps. The spears are made from elven blades and urukhai pikes. |

I've had them for years, warhammer lizardmen sheilds. GW still sell them though http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catal ... rod1290038 |

The funny thing Is that 9 years ago I bought some lizardmen in the belief that they could be used as Cave Trolls. Obviously they couldn't, so I traded them away for a goblin command. Nice conversions by the way. |

I still have the article in Word format. If you PM me your email address I can send it to you. I also have several spare High elf shields available for trade. |

Righto. I'll send the article to you. I should point out it was done when I was quite new to the hobby, so don't expect the minis to be up to my usual standard of work! I also did some converted spearmen. These pics were during the WIP phase, although I have tidied the joints up and made the blades more elf-like with putty since then: Although they have spears, you can just as easily use the blades instead of spears. |

I will once I get around to them. Had Glorfindel been voted as the March painting mini I probably would have concentrated on my High Elves. |
