Post subject:  Painting the Winged Nazgul

Hello

Im currently trying to paint this:

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catal ... rod480006a

Ive checked the site and found the 3 guides but they are a different model. I mostly need help painting the wings. No matter how hard i try i cannot get the same effect as shown in the Games Workshop picture. Ive tryed drybrushing but the wings aren't very textured so the paint doesn't have much to stick onto. Any tips would be hugely appreciated.

The reason may be you aren't and experience painter... By the flow of the time if you don't stop painting you may become an expert.

You need to thin your paint a lot as it is a mostly flat surface. Build up the colour over many thin layers. Also use glazes, which are like washes but thinner and are designed to just slightly tint an area that doesn't have many recesses.

It might sound difficult, but just persist, don't try and get ahead of yourself and you should get good results.
