As the title says, I am looking for an alternative to Morgul Stalkers. I only need 2 companies (16) of them, I was thinking either Mordor Orcs or Uruk-hai Scouts, and I have enough spares of both of those already (no way in hell will I buy a 12 box), what do you think? EDIT: on a rather unrelated note, does anyone have any ideas concerning Queen Beruthiels cats? Anyone know where you can buy 25mm scale cats, or at least cat head, because if I scult them myself, the heads will be terrible. |

Thank you for the link, but I think it's too big, and not dynamic enough, I was thinking a king of Galadriel War Form-esque model. And I plan on 4 cats, not 2, 1 with the Queen, and the other 3 on their own base. Thanks anyway. |

Reaper do a nice Crazy Cat Lady model. She comes with about 6 tiny cats which would be perfect IMO. |

I've got some spare cats you can have, PM me and I'l post them to you. These are from the Crazy cat model mentioned below. I used for them for my own Queen Beruthiel model! |

If you are any good with conversions then I would go to town on those mordor orcs, making them look more like stalkers. Take away their shields and arm them with nasty looking blades. Maybe keeping away from spears etc. More cloth and stuff. What makes a stalker unique is his stealthy, cunning and incredibly cruel appearance. EDIT: Actually, just looking at them again, they seem to have fit bodies and are heavily armoured. Converting those uruk scouts by layering on some extra cloth and (if you want) giving them helmet less heads from the orcs could be a go. |

Thank you very much samoht, I was starting to think I'd never get a reply to my original question. Yeah, I think that probably is the best thing; the Uruk-hai Scouts that is. When I start the first half of my mass-converting, closely follwed by the first-half of a mass asembale and painting, I will have ago. Do you think that just a bit of extra cloth, and perhaps different heads, would be enough then? |

Make sure they look like they've got the heavy armor, too. The official minis look like they're going on a RW theme, so that makes the direction easy to follow. Make their boots more pointy, make sure their gloves have lots of metal. Maybe give them some chainmail in places. That sort of thing. |

Thank you for the tips, I can do pointy boots quite easy I think though I'll probably end up covering it up with sand if I'm not careful. When I do them, they should be in my WIP. |

Like theonerider said. Also, make their armour spikier if you can. If you can sculpt chain mail then chain mail covering their bare arms and legs would probably look good. Give them more wraith like clothing. Maybe covering their chest plates. Cruel looking blades would look good too. As for there heads, i reckon they should not have helmets. Unless of course you know a good way to make those helmets fit in. I would find the nastiest, cruelest looking orc and uruk heads you have and give them those. |

Thanks agin, I've attemped chainmail on my Orc War Lord but it's barely passable, then again that'll be fine for me. Bare heads it is. |

If everything goes according to plan, soon. The plan being to finish Beruthiel, sort out some other non-LotR things to sell on ebay, then to do the first half of my massed modelling / converting / painting. I will begin with the hardest; the Black Numenoreans, and then I will do Morgul Stalkers, Mordor Uruks and Black Guard, followed by some monsters and then boring old Orcs. No painting until all that lot's assembled, then I will paint in batches. |
