So, how do ya'll go about removing mold lines that run right across your figures knuckles, or right through wicker? (like on the haradrim raiders' horses)

I find it really hard to remove them without getting rid of all the texture, be that the wicker or my figures fingers. :o

Any helpful hints or super techniques out there?

Carefully, with a pointy blade. Or if you have micro needle files that works too.

yeh the knuckles thing is a pain - depending on the model leave them on and paint them metallic - look like great knuckle dusters :-D

Hmm, sounds like I need to keep doing what I'm doing, and remember to take it slowly with lots of patience. Arghh. These are the fiddly annoying things that I don't like in this hobby. Why can't the figures come all cleaned up and ready to paint?

@dms Yeah, though I don't think that would quite suit cirdan.....*The next big street brawler, Cirdan of the Haven's!*

Man they are expensive enough without them piling on labour charges for mold line removal!

Yeah, wouldn't that be something. They come with their mold lines removed, and pre primed, with multiple extra's and poses available, but they're $15 a figure, for plastic ones. :?

That would make me quit the hobby.

On the mould lines: I just leave them on (naughty, lazy me).
