Post subject: | WoMT faces |
So I have started painting my WoMT. I starting with the faces since it is such a small area on the model thinking it wouldn't be so bad. I am not happy with the base coat so I am worried about moving further! That being said, does anyone have any suggestions for painting their faces or ways that worked best for them? Thanks for your help!! |

This is a pretty good ressource for painting eyes, maybe it'll help you? http://scottswargaming.blogspot.gr/2011 ... u.html?m=1 |

What I did was base coat with dwarf flesh and then a wash of devlin mud. |

I think that sounds like a good plan. I will give that a shot tonight, I am just not sure about the eyes on these though. It is very intimidating to even think about the eyes right now, although it would be good practice I will start a new WIP to keep me focused on finishing these bad boys! |

You can try by all means, but I personally don't believe that they're essential for regular foot soldiers. I tend to just carefully paint around them from the beginning, leaving a small dark line. You'll see this in some GW-painted figures too, and I find it to be a great effect. |
