Look what I got through the post today:

Man this is a kit. So many spare sparts and I have no idea how I'd put this together, any guides on it people can offer?

Also it seems a shame to let all these spare parts go to waste...any idea if there's guides on sculpting/moulding a new troll so I can use all of the parts and potentially get more than one troll out of this? Or just tips or anything. What glues and filler to use and if it needs pinning or anything.

I saw one guy convert the drum from this kit into a goblin drum. If you can't make another troll then that could be fun?

I made 3 trolls out of this.
a drummer, mordor troll and isengard troll.
The only thing you don't have is 2 extra bodies.
So I took some sculpting clay, pushed the 2 halve body parts in there and let it harden a bit.
Afterwards I varnished it and had a decent mould.
Put some clay in there, and my extra bodies were finished.
It looks decent, but details are not perfect on the bodies.
So maybe use something better than clay ;)

Bought a couple of resin bodies from a guy on ebay, they are really good and means I can use up all the spare parts.

Thanks Paul. I've got this set and was wondering how to not waste the spares. Any chance of some photos of the ones you cast ?

Here are a few ways you can make trolls. I wish I had thought of buying resin bodies or making my own casts, but at least I have gained experience in sculpting which I need more, and got some original characters out of it. not quite Bert and Tom but still.

Awesome Trolls, Sithious. I had seen some, but not all of your horde. Color me jealous.

Good idea. Would plaster be a good idea to fill the troll and then later just add green stuff? I assume I could get it out with vaseline or something, maybe not. This way would save quite a bit of time is all.
