Hi Guys, I got 2 mordor trolls off ebay and they are quite heavy, so I am not convinced about them. Would someone be able to weigh their metal ones for me? Just the regular old chaps with hammers. They are heavier than Sauron and Treebeard for me. There is no detail on the sides of the upper leg either, so if anyone knows if this is normal or not, it would be nice to know. Thanks a bunch |

Sorry. If I had a troll I would weigh it for you but I am a true and good player. Only good forces for me. I'm untainted. |

I'm wondering if these are re casts. I'm led to believe there is a Chinese company that are doing them but I have not seen one. |

Ok mine was 255g. I'll be taking it to a GW in 2 weeks to get them to look at it I guess (unless this will only result in me losing it - id rather use it as an objective than have it destroyed and not replaced). The seller didn't have other models to sell, so i presume they bought a dodgy copy and then sold it on. The pictures were a bit hard to see from and they were European so i wasn't expecting something from China. Things that are a bit suspect are: Heavy Weight Pieces don't fit together as well Darker metal No join between legs and abdomen No chest armour plate (can anyone confirm if this is sculpted on or an addition like it is with the plastics). Drilled hole in the shoulder (when I received it) to help it join - very shiny and not like a cast only hole/join. Join seam running from foot to shoulder down the side of the mini. |

To have this much disparity must make it a re cast IMO. The massively heavier weight and darker metal seem to be tell tale give always as to its origin. |

Re: The Chest armour plate. The regular metal Trolls have the armour sculpted on - they may have used the torso of a Catapult Troll, which is why the pieces don't fit together properly. |

Or they might have cast the plastic Troll in metal. This would also account for the lack of detailing on the legs and the heavier weight. |
