Duinhir is gone (for now) and I don't know when he'll be coming back, so I'd like to convert a model into Duinhir. My first thought was to take a ranger and add a few little things. Is a ranger the best model to start from, or are there other more suitable ones you guys can think of? Others I'd like to make: King's huntsman (ordinary Rohan warrior with bow seems the best model to start from, only the scale armour worries me a bit as I'm not that good at sculpting atm) Knight of the White tower (Isildur has a fairly identical pose, so I think I'll start from that one. Adding another cloak will do the trick I guess. What to do with his crown though?) That's it, for now Let me know what you think about the ideas and what you'd do ^^ |

I think that using isildur for a knight of the white tower is a good idea... If you need some ranger conversion ideas check out my ranger project; http://www.one-ring.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=27421 Its being put on hold for a few weeks however Good luck with your conversions |

With the knight of the white tower conversion, I gave Isildur a Warrior of Minas Tirith head. Simples I made a King's Huntsman by putting a Royal Guard helmet on a bowman and by giving him a High Elf bow. (They have Longbows, so it makes sense that they have a bigger bow) |

For the King's Huntsman, here's my approach: I scraped off the helemt and gave him hair instead, added a shield to his back and gave him sword. |

Thanks for the tips guys! @Lord of Winterfell, some nice conversions you got there. I'll surely look at them again when I start converting! @Cptn Andruil, Hadn't thought of the King's Huntsman in that way, going to have a look if that's possible ( I think I have a RRG somewhere). @Rognarr, Was it difficult to scrape of the helmet? Looks great! Where did you get the arrows? |

Delirivm wrote: @Rognarr, Was it difficult to scrape of the helmet? Looks great! Where did you get the arrows? It wasn't difficuilt at all, no. Just grab a really sharp knife and be careful at scraping off not too much The arrows are made from split toothpicks, the feathers came from a warg-rider quiver. |

I didn't even know I had a show! ;D You have an outstanding example of something I want to achieve so you have the right to 'steal the show'. |
