Many people are undercoating the base before putting the glue and then place the sand or whatever.

I am not sure for this because maybe the glue which is not directly in contact with the plastic base, it will easily come away. (sorry for my grammar)

Is anyone that had problem with this or it does not happen? Because to me it does not seem safe at all

I normally put my base gravel on before i prime.

No no this is not what i am asking to know.


In case that you prime it 1st and then put the gravel, if the gravel and the black colour will come away from the plastic base because there is no glue that sticks the base and the gravel together because of the prime black colour that intervenes between those two!

Not had an issue either way. As the role of a primer is to provide a base for the paint to adhere to gluing to it works also.

I paint mine first.
Plastic glue will not stick to paint.
Super glue will stick to painted bases.
Hot glue will stick painted or not.
White Glue,PVA,school glue will not stick to unpainted plastic well.
