Painting Wargs

Hello everyone. I started painting muh wargs and I had no idea as of how to paint them. So I came up with this cunning scheme, since I have a limited collection of paints: 1) Black Primer.
2) Undercoat everything codex grey.
3) Drybrush consecutively scorched brown-->Dark Flesh-->khemri brown on the furr. Khemri Brown was applied sporadicaly.
4) Paint details.
5) Gryphon Sepia Wash the furr.
6) Devlan Mud the Face, legs.
Sorry for posting the old names. What do you think of my little scheme and how would you paint your wargs?
P.S Since I just want them tabletop ready I did no highlighting. Below are the pics of my monstrocity.

That is the tutorial for the new Warg models, but I'm sure you could use it for the old models too. I think that developed a nice outcome for my wargs, I followed it mostly but made a few changes for mine such as making the eyes stand out more to make them look more evil and I think I also drybrushed the fur slightly brighter than the skin to cause it to stand out more.

I'm into having each warg with darker or lighter colours just like each wolf has a different furr colour *_*. It may bring about more realism to the pack.

I like how you are doing them, painting wargs is boring but a necessity

I just started painting my batch of wargs also, I used army painter fur brown (spray) to undercoat, then gw ratskin flesh for the skin (wanted to do something other than grey), using different browns to highlight the fur and them will use army painter strong tone to fill in the detail and give them a dirtier look. The only drawback with the strong tone is then I have to spray them with the anti shine varnish.

I don't have a tutorial myself, but this is fantastic. I was struggling with the new Hobbit wargs when the first came out and saw this, and I've never looked back. I now use this tutorial as a base for painting all sorts of furs =

Well for my Grimwarg I decided to follow none of GW's schemes, but to have a look at mother nature: A real wolf was my inspiration.
Not sure if i get everything together, but roughly, that's how i painted the warg:
I gave it a black undercoat, followed by heavy drybrush in scorched brown, a lighter one in bestial brown, next one beastial brown with a hint of snakebite leather, then graveyard earth and finally a few fine layers of bleeched bone

No need for shame here, I'm painting (with longer and shorter breaks) since the BGIME-magazine was out.. just keep painting and the progress (and experience!) will come mostly all by themselves

I personally, paint Dryad Bark, skin Eshin Grey, tongue Mephiston Red and teeth Karak Stone, then from there was the whole model Agrax Earthshade and then lightly drybrush the fur Steel Legion Drab and then drybrush again Baneblade Brown.
