Hey guys, might be my last one for a few days. I present you Gwaihir:

Games Workshop shows how finecast eagles are really done with this figure, it's body in one piece rather than the 3 piece plastic to finecast deal we got for Radagast. On first inspection everything seemed in order, no missing pieces. I have to say apart from the odd missing piece and brittleness on weapons I really do enjoy modelling with resin now and is probably my favourite material to assemble, providing the kit is up to their usual standard.

There were some minor bubbles around the front of the wings and a few air pockets at the bottom of the wing feathers so I had to be quite careful to finely shave the mould lines in that area or risk exposing the bigger air pockets. I did expose a few but nothing a little bit of green stuff can't fix.

Everything was a breeze working with Gwaihir. If anything the wings were a tiny bit difficult to match up to the body but admittedly in trying to fix it I did cut in the wrong areas or just a little bit too much off and as a result there's a touch more green stuff in the wing to body join than you would normally have if you don't make the same mistake I did.

I would recommend getting Gwaihir for the eagle fans out there. The pose is excellent and putting it next to the other eagles I would say it looks slightly bigger (as the windlord should be) due to the wingspan.
Gwaihir Rating:

Assembly - 7/10
Quality - 7.5/10
Looks - 7.5/10

Score - 73%

Can you post a compare pic between Gwaihir and the plastic eagles? Being almost twice the cost as them, he doesn't seem all that worth it, but if he's a whole lot bigger, he might be.
