No one has mentioned the king of the dead. He is expensive and if he dies there goes a lot of points. But one wound from the king and any model dies.

That was mentioned in another thread. A balrog will very likely focus all his attacks on the KotD so I don't think that would work as the balrog could easily kill him in 2 rounds of combat.
