Hello,
I'm gonna join a 700 pts tournement and I'm thinking about a 700 pts full Army of the Dead army.
That would mean i've got 40 warriors of the dead and the king.
Would this be a good tournement army?

O forgot this point:
It's a tournement including two armies, 1 good and 1 evil. In the tournement you will always play good versus evil.
Also, I want to put my army in one long line on the table, so their control zones block the total table, and they can't get surrounded, is this a good Idea?

I would ally some Grey Company. You'll then get some archery and spears, plus it's thematic.

It could be good and it could not, if you go up against someone who has spent alot of points on wargear like shields then they have wasted some points on wargear that will not help them, however you have only one hero, who has no might, so your tactical options are pretty limited. About control zones blocking the table they only just do this, and only do it in one rank, which means that once a few warriors have died, you will be overwhelmed and with no might to pull you out, you will be trapped. Lack of shooting will hold you back but when against a harad force (one of the best evil "shooting" armies) with 24 bows you will only lose 1.3 warriors per phase and not many armies contain so many bows. As general elessar suggested, ally in some grey company.

What scenarios are in this tournament? Build your army based on them, this list would be fun to play with but if there are more than one scenarios involving your leader killing many models then this list would not fare so well due to a leader with no might and only two attacks, that problem could be solved by allying in arathorn or a similar cheap "fighty" hero.

I'm really sorry, but the advice wasn't needed anymore. The rules of the tournement changes after I posted this and I had too much to worry about forgetting this topic. In the tourney were really stupid scenarios, and I ended 14th of 14.
Indeed, it was a pain being the army of the dead, however.
But thank you for advice!!!
In the next 700 pts tourney, about 70 goblins await.............
