Mahud 800pts

So here goes:
1:The betrayer armoured steed
12 Mahud blowpipes

2:Khar'tok: Mahud king, camel, shield, blowpipe, warspear
3 Raiders with blowpipes and warspear
3 half trolls
3 mahud blowpipe spear
3 mahud blowpipe

3: khe'rnek: Mahud chief, camel,blowpipe, warspear, shield
3 Raiders with blowpipes and warspear
3 half trolls
3 mahud blowpipe spear
3 mahud blowpipe

only 6 might, 39 models, however these guys will deal out alot of hurt
especially seeing as I have maxed out blowpipes to go with the betrayer
Sadly I didn't have room for a taskmaster in this list

Are blowpipes really all that strong?

For 800 points that's a low-Might, low-numbers, low D and low F army, but it's propably the best it's going to get when only taking Mahud.

I'd rather have 5 spears than an armour for the Betrayer.

The army is going to look very badass, that's for sure :-D

I do not believe there is any limit on blowpipes.
From all my searching they are not "Bows", so the 1/3 limit would not apply.

I'm sorry, but these numbers at 800 points don't work. and only 6 might. that army will go down.

To make it a army witch is better its maybe a idea to put the betayer on a fell beast, so you can hurl and that's really distructive.
Blowpipes: they are good, because of the betrayer and your whole army has them. but don't give them to your heroes, 5 points for a blowpipe is 4 more than it should be.

@denize: low fight doesn't matter, with 6 half trolls F5 you will smash averything.

I should take this: ( I don't knwo the exact point value's, but this is a gues)

betrayer on fell beast
8 mahud warriors+blowpipes+4spears
2 halftrolls

just attack and shoot when you have the chanse. use your fell beast for hurl, thats really distructive

This warband can be really distructive. you just trow them against a army and with impirial you will kill most of the enemy army. use your might for 2 heroic moves to charch again and your charch will work good.

mahud captain: camel shield warspear
8 mahud warriors+blowpipes+4spears
2 halftrolls

try to get your captain with your camels for 2 more heroic moves.
the rest just attacks.
becouse of the half trolls they can match most of the warbands becaus it's hard to slay them and they slay others easilly.

800 points leaves you with enough for a Mumak, doesn't it? Get one of those, and it should take care of things pretty well.

well let's actually give you a list of models I own, so you get an idea, also the ringwraith is the original idea behind this list:
1 king foot 1 mounted
1 chief mtd
3 chieftains foot
6 half trolls
6 raiders(1 banner)
24 mahud(12blowpipe,6spear,5normal, 1banner)
and 2 mumakil with tusk weapons (1 with sigils)
all those guys are painted the same as each other ie blue and brown, with black skin and white face paints.
I don't know why I just don't like mixing different colour paterns together it looks chaotic.

do you have a fell beast?

then take a mumak with some upgrades. and crew with blowpipes

mahud king on camel+schild+warspwear
7mahud raiders+blowpipes (captain just acts as a normal warrior)

betrayer
mahud warriors witch blowpipes (and some spears)

with the remaining points just make the mahud warriors half trolls, and/or fill the warband of the mahud king.

I do have a rw on fell beast, however don't have a 7th mahud raider, one of them already has a banner to boot

Mumak with beast master, rocks, sigils
11mahud

Mahud king camel, shield, warspear
5 mahud raiders

the shadowlord on horned fell beast

so plenty of killing power, not much staying power for the models not on the mumak

The best I can make with the models you give (assuming the Fell beast):

800 points, 39 men, 26 blowpipes, 6 Might

If you don't feel like buying a Fell beast, you have 40 more points to spend on whatever you like. I'd say that the amount of models you own would make a better 750 pts army than an 800.

the skin is scorched brown, the cloth is regal blue highlighted with ice blue as dry brush, the brown cloth is scorched brown> bestial brown> snakebite leather

An effective army and brilliantly painted too, well done. If you extend the points limit, I think you should get some haradrim warriors with bows to make sure that the enemy can't take you that easily at very long range.

tbh if I extended the points I would probably go for a warband of watchers of kaarna with bows led by a Dalamyr

they're my only other models that at a push have a similar colour patern
