The only Aragorn I can see taking, is Strider. Take him with an elven cloak, and armor For elves, Elladan and Elrohir with elven cloaks and heavy armor Take Murin and Drar Then this is a toss up.....You can either go Erkenbrand or Malbeth the seer.
If you go Erkenbrand, you can also give Aragorn a bow. Erk offers +2 courage to all your troops, basically avoiding any courage tests whatsoever except for Murin and Drar. Those guys only fail though on double 1s at that point. This is probably the route Id go for.
Or, you can take Malbeth, and avoid all wounds on your heros on 5+ with his special rule.
Personally, id take Erkenbrand. With him, your army has 6 troops, 18 might!!! plus aragorns 1 per turn. Once you break or charging terror units, you almost never have to test.
If you take Malbeth, you can prevent wounds, but they are mostly all high fate, fight value, attacks, or high defense, so you wont be taking many wounds.
And 6 is a good number to survive with.
Thats a nice mix of 2 men, 2 elves, and 2 dwarves also.
With Malbeth first off, you drop 2 might. Second, you have to worry about bowfire ripping him to pieces....not to mention the opponent will go after him, then you have to play 'defend the guy in a robe with no armor' game. And that sucks.
