hey all

just looking at starting my first warband and am keeping it simple - 200pts of Dwarves. I've come up with a little list, would just like your comments about it if I'm on the right track or completely lost.

To be honest, there's not a lot of choice so I figured a few archers holding back, the rest up front and dangerous with a leader and bodyguards:

12 Warriors:
4 with dwarf bow
6 with shield
2 Khazad Guard

Dwarf Captain
+ shield
+ throwing axes

Comes in less than 200pts so I have a few to spend but can't really figure out what to do with them

thank you in advance!

K.

Well, at such a small point you'll only get one warband.

Here is my suggestion;

Dwarf captain with shield
4 dwarf warriors with shield
4 dwarf warriors with bow
4 iron guard

That leaves 3 points, which can be used to give three of the dwarves with bow two handed weapons. The Iron Guard gives you some punch.

It's very hard to build an army this way. And by that I mean placing additional restrictions on your force. But for a start it looks solid. At 200 points you really have a win-win scenario to choose from. Either D7 Khazad Guard that will be nearly unkillable for your opponent or Iron Guard, who pack sine serious offensive punch at this level

What about Dain and Balin they would be fun to play for sure. The only thing that they have to be frightened of are ringwraiths.

Murin and Drar are an exception, they are both in 1 warband. always. But most warbands can have only 1 hero. A warband doesn't need minis, but they can't have more than 12. In the situation of Mirin and Drar, one of them is the leader and 1 of the other one is a mini.
