I prefer dwarves. Hate goblins. All of them. They are annoying. Especially painting them. Dwarves are nice to paint and are very tough. You also have more heros for the dwarves. I would suggest getting a cave troll for your goblins

I hate goblins with a vengeance! I hate painting them I hate playing with them, I even hate talking to the little buggers!

Dwarfs on the other hand are nice little chaps and fun to paint. I have a mini army of them at the moment.

He was talking about talking to his minis when he is playing :)

You could also add another cave troll though. Your goblin army is pretty big and the cave trolls are good units to have. Especially if you are playing larger battles.

Damn... your hero pool is rather large, even for having so many dwarves. Nice army... although it must have cost a small fortune if they are all ligit GW minis. If playing an opponent who will be playing dwarves... I try to get more cave trolls. Your dwarf force is massive, and having so many captains could mean the goblin force to counter this could have 10 or more cave trolls, since they are fairly close in points costs to the captains. Anyway, I think your armies are good :)

I dont like to mix and match companies. Just doesnt feel lotr. GW made the dwarves with lotr in mind which helps them fit in. For gaming reasons also I dont like to mix and match from companies

I am careful on the minis I choose to that they fit in with GW's and so I can paint them to look exactly the same.

Well they obviously cant look exactly the same. Just not my kinda thing. If I look for some different minis they are usually Reaper. But I like to keep them seperae from my lotr minis

Don't get me wrong I'll either use all my GW ones or all my other ones (carefully chosen) unless desperate or it looks to wierd. If you get what I mean. :D :P

i must say i have always undervalued goblins. today playing against a elven force, i managed to take out 5 high elf swordsmen in a single shoot phase. thats 50 pts off, mind you... however, nothing beats dwarves.

yeah I know what you mean g_k. It wud look kinda odd though with different minis from different companies. I like trying different companies' minis but thats really just for painting. I have come acustomed to the reaper minis lately. They are just pure quality and not expensive
