The Dragon Knights company is fight 8, and the rest of the formation is fight 5 (as heros fight applies only to company not formation)

Is it worth having a Dragon Knight then? Or would the points be better spent on another company?

I think a Dragon Knight is definately worth it, its cheaper AtD than Captain with a higher fight, you don't neep epics in easterlings with a knight.

Would you suggest using smaller formations of Easterlings with more Dragon Knights? Like 3 formations of 4?

I think fielding 3 formations of 4 comps of Easterlings with Dragon Knights is a good idea, and if i had enough myself, would do so. 4 comps is the optimum sive for most heavy infantry IMO, and I've already said about knights.

Why would you say it's the optimum size? I like snow balling ideas with mr Gothmog, would you ever play 2 dragon knights in a formation? Then having 2 companies up to fight 8?

Unfortunatley you can only have one of each upgrade per formation (unless you count Amdur as a Dragon Knight, and put him in a different company)

I see. Well, i say any more than 6 and they become too unweildyto manoevre (without massed WoT), and less than 4 and they become too fragile (they could be ok in 3s but 4s last that bit longer, and do not become incredibly fragile if they loose 12 models.

oh , massed Wings of terror, ie constantly casting the WoT spell, so it effectly give you a perminant move of 12", (24" when AtD is taken into account)

Yeah sorry I realised what you meant after I'd replied. Wouldn't 6 be just as easy to manoeuvre as 4? Three lines of 2?

Maybe with a drummer, but the formation couldn't properly turn itself around as easily, 4 can turn around to face left/right usually (unless they fwarves, in which case dwarves work in 3s anyway).

Here's some tips for constructing a Fallen Realms army. First, include Khamul. Full-stop. Second, Mumaks are very destructive if used properly. However, they are very expensive; I wouldn't consider them essential, but they're worth taking. Thirdly, Arbalesters are also very good and relatively cheap. Like Khamul, these are pretty much a no-brainer.

How do you use Mumak's properly?

Well, I don't speak from experience, but you have to find a way to trap formations under the Mumak.

Blackmist won the WotR GT last year, and he had a Mumak in his army. He used formations of bats to fly over the enemy formations and just sit behind them. Then, the Mumak would walk on top of the formation, and, with the formation's escape route cut off by the bats, most of the formation would be destroyed.

I have a chance now to buy cheap Khandis riders and seprent guards on foot. Are they useful in WOTR?

The Khandish can be justified as a small scale harassment squad (bows+Skilled Riders), but won't last if you face up against a real cheese army. The Guard are Haradrim Warriors (useless), with one (or two, can't remember) useless upgrades for +5 pts. Don't.
