I'm going to head to Bromley tomorrow to attempt my first game of SBG against whoever I can get to play me, having had an intro session last week.

I want some help on what to take with me, I have painted (or semi-painted) Lurtz, 2 Uruk captains w/shield, 3 scouts w/shield, 6 w/bow, 10 warriors w/shield and 8 w/pike. I also have a very poorly painted Saruman from 8 years ago, but i'm inclined to leave him at home as he looks rubbish and he's a lot of points for an intro game.

Anyway, here's my first attempt at a 350 point beginner list.

Lurtz
Uruk captain w/shield and heavy armour
8 warriors w pike
8 w shield
6 scouts w bows
1 scout w shield

343 points. 25 models, 7 shots, 5 might.

Or I could try to paint a few more models today and attempt a conversion of a pikeman to a banner and take this:

Uruk captain w shield and HA
9 warriors w shield
8 w pike
1 w banner
6 scouts w bow
3 scouts w shield

350 points. 28 models. 6 shots. 2 might.

What do you guys reckon?
And should I take more than that to maybe squeeze a 500 point game out of what I've got?
Or even take a good army too (which I don't really have, only barebones) to maybe improve my chances of getting a game?

Thanks 8)
