Hello! Im new to this game and need some constructive feedback on my to army lists here. I know im using alot of points on heroes but its got to be fun to right? :-)

Was trying to take economy into consideration aswell. Having mostly boxed sets on my 1000p army. I was also thinking on combining converted models with the original models when creating the grey company and osgiliath warriors. Any units i should swap? Other upgrades? Other heroes? Other setup?

I'm grateful for all the help i can get. :-)

Gondor
1000 points

Aragorn 200p
Faramir 90p

The Grey company x 3 w/banner of the king 205p

Minas Tirith Warriors x 4 100p
Minas Tirith Warriors x 4 100p
Minas Tirith Warriors x 3 75p
Minas Tirith Knight x 4 100p
Rangers of Gondor x 3 w/captain 140p

1010P

Aragorn with the grey company with halbarad having the banner of the king.
Faramir either with the knights or with the warriors.

Gondor
2000 points

Aragorn 200p
Boromir 175p
Legolas 200p
Gimli 175p
Faramir 90p
Peregrin Took 75p

Osgiliath veterans (Cirion) x 3 190p
The Grey company (Halbarad) x 3 w/banner of the king 205p

Minas Tirith Warriors x 4 100p
Minas Tirith Warriors x 4 100p
Minas Tirith Warriors x 3 75p
Minas Tirith Warriors x 3 75p
Minas Tirith Knight x 4 w/shields 120p
Rangers of Gondor x 3 90p
Axemen of Lossarnach x 3 75p

Fortune: Desperate Heroics 50p

1995p

Aragorn with the grey company with halbarad having the banner of the king. Together with him Gimli for the epic rampage/andruril hit combo.
Faramir with the knights.
Legolas with the rangers having the opportunity to use epic defence to boost their rather weak defence and take down monsters.
Boromir and Peregrin together switching around the Minas Tirith Warriors calling duels. Using the desperate heroics fortune on Peregrins might point to restore Boromirs six when hes out, and do the same with Aragorn/Gimli if its needed.

Less epic heroes and more generic troops. It's been said a few times that numbers are really important in WOTR and i believe it's true. I think you can probably do without Faramir, and maybe legolas or Gimli (being a dwarf fan, I'd keep gimli :) )

well, there's my two cents (or four)

maybe take out gimli or legolas. i would take out gimli. i have expeirence with both and legolas' swift strike is insane. crippling shot is great against trolls and mumak.

I think (don't have my rulebook on me) that in your list the price of a Legendary formation includes the first company; most other players disagree with this. You might have to drop some companies or something...
