I need to work out an army to defend this version of The Fortress of Minas Tirith for LORSB. See may Work in progress post for an expatiation of the origin of the model and my restoration plains for it. But for now, I need to work out gaming with it.

I think I have enough stuff painted to defend about Half of it.

12 Knights of Minas Tirith
48 Warriors of Minas Tirith
24 archers of Minas Tirith
14 rangers of Minas Tirith
8 guard of the Fountain court
8 Citadel Gard
10 Knights Of Dol Amroth
10 foot Knights
24 men at arms not started painting
2 packs of each of the allies unopened

I want to divide the command of the defenses between 3 players. The right and left side and the gate and the citadel. The Citadel commander should have any Cavalry and reinforcements.

so add
48 Warriors of Minas Tirith
24 archers of Minas Tirith
14 rangers of Minas Tirith
divide it into tree groups
add any hero's you like and tell me what you would like to do if you could design and command one of the defensive groups.

Do not be shy

Will you be posting the results? It should be a worthy epic!

As far as heroes go, Gondor should have Gandalf the White on Shadowfax, Prince Imrahil, Denethor and Pippin at least. You could also alter Tolkien's history and add Boromir Captain of the White Tower and/or Faramir in any of his deployment options. The Rangers could possibly serve as Blackroot Vale archers and you could use another command model as the new Gondor hero Duinhur. Other than that, sprnkle in any Gondor generic captains and banner bearers as you can! :D

No I have not played enough to pull it off yet.

I am more familiar with LORSB WHB Alamo and Old West. We also use the System for Legends of the High Seas. The group is familiar enough with lorsb system for me to be able to over come unforeseen difficulty with the scenario.

I will have an up to date camera available.

Apparently, Wotr dosen't work very well with sieges. I'm looking forward to seeing some good old SBG. I would definetely, as FlameoftheWest said, get some more heroes of Gondor. Are you going to do Pelenor fields later?

I really appreciate how you made your own version of minas tirith. It proves that there are still some creative people out there...

I am not ready to go that far, but it is too abstract for what I have in mind. Nobody is going to want to read several pages of un-play tested house rules before they start a game. I will not have to do that with SBG.

Are you going to do Pelenor fields later?
I would like to but I do not have enough CV ready even if I proxy Norman and ancient German CV

My friend David purchased the Model back in 1998. I wish I could take credit for it. There is a link on my work in progress post.
